Hello Australia! We're home again...

So first of all from London to beautiful Vancouver, and some precious time with David our youngest son and his lovely fiancee Camille - not in our photo, sadly she had to work that day.

Our visit was a little shorter than planned, after a 24 hour delay out of the UK which meant a couple of unplanned airport nights, first at Gatwick and then in Toronto, having missed our Vancouver connection!

But it was so very good to re-connect with them both, seeing the city from their 17th floor apartment and visiting David's amazing workplace of Netflix.

First touch-down in Australia was Brisbane, then on to Mackay in Queensland, to catch up with Rob, Kat and little Aurora. Such a happy family.

"It's nice to have someone to blow bubbles with!", she said.

Doing the important stuff...like bubbles on the deck and just being parents and grandparents. Lovely to be properly warm again as well, under bright blue skies with gum trees all around, and going barefoot when you want to. We didn't realise how much we had missed it.

After a few warm Queensland days we headed south to colder climes, visiting friends in Adelaide who had come to Italy and taught on the school there. A chance to evaluate, process, pray and even do some future dreaming and planning about what a similar school could look like if we ran it here in Australia...

Then, at last, home to Perth! Just in time for our grandson Tom's high school graduation and 18th birthday, and also Hannah and Poppy, our twin granddaughters' 14th birthdays. There are four teenagers in our house now, all delightful and each so uniquely different.

I'll add some photos, once I have them.

People often ask if we have 'settled in' again, and we're not really sure what that means! It's been so good to reconnect with all our family and many friends and we are definitely content to be here right now, but we're also staying very open to whatever may come next. God has been so faithful and generous to us on this last adventure, and we're confident that whatever is ahead, it will be both surprising and very good!

I laughed at the difference between Italy and Australia as you described the BYO Fireworks to the NYE celebrations.
